New Porsche 911 GTS Makes ASEAN Debut at the 46th Bangkok Motor Show 2025
Porsche Thailand proudly unveils the new Porsche 911 GTS, featuring T-Hybrid technology for the very first time in Southeast Asia, at the 46th Bangkok International Motor Show.
The new 911 GTS marks a major milestone for the iconic 911 family, as it becomes the first 911 Carrera GTS to be equipped with a hybrid drivetrain designed for road use. This high-performance hybrid system draws inspiration from motorsport technology, significantly boosting both power and driving efficiency, while keeping the vehicle’s weight increase to a minimum. As a result, the 911 GTS retains the exceptional balance and agility that defines the Porsche 911 experience, now elevated to a whole new standard.
The new 911 GTS is powered by a completely re-engineered 3.6-liter boxer engine, paired with two electric motors, a turbocharger, and a compact high-voltage battery — delivering high performance with precisely managed weight distribution. The first electric motor is integrated within the turbocharger, functioning as a generator capable of producing up to 20 kW (27 PS) of electrical power. This setup significantly improves turbo responsiveness, effectively minimizing turbo lag and ensuring smooth, immediate acceleration across all speed ranges.
The second electric motor is integrated into the 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission, providing an additional 300 Nm of torque to support the boxer engine, along with an extra 40 kW of power output. This results in sharper, more exhilarating throttle response and enhanced driving precision. Both electric motors are powered by a 1.9 kWh high-voltage battery, which has been specially engineered to be exceptionally lightweight. This design helps maintain the iconic balance and agility that the Porsche 911 is renowned for.
Additionally, Porsche has equipped the new 911 GTS with a compact 12-volt lithium-ion battery, replacing the conventional battery to help reduce overall weight and optimize power distribution across the vehicle’s electrical systems. This smart integration exemplifies Porsche’s ability to seamlessly blend motorsport-derived technology with real-world drivability, delivering performance and efficiency in perfect harmony.
Even without electric assistance, the new 3.6-liter boxer engine in the 911 GTS delivers an impressive 357 kW (485 PS) and 570 Nm of torque. However, when working in tandem with the T-Hybrid system, overall performance increases significantly — producing a combined output of 398 kW (541 PS) and 610 Nm of torque. This enhanced powertrain enables the 911 GTS to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds, with a top speed of 312 km/h, firmly placing it at the top of its class in terms of performance and driving exhilaration.
Beyond the enhanced powertrain, Porsche has also refined the aerodynamics and chassis systems of the new 911 GTS to deliver even greater handling precision. The car is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which lowers the ride height by 10 millimeters, enhancing stability and cornering performance. Adding to its dynamic capability is the Rear-Axle Steering system, now standard on GTS models, which improves high-speed stability and low-speed maneuverability. Additionally, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) has been directly integrated with the hybrid system, further enhancing cornering precision and overall road-holding performance across varying driving conditions.
In terms of design and aerodynamics, the new 911 GTS features active air vents and a front diffuser that automatically adjusts airflow to increase downforce and reduce drag, enhancing high-speed stability and grip. The model is further elevated by an enhanced aerodynamic package and a set of newly designed wheels that not only boost visual appeal but also improve responsiveness and stability across all driving conditions.
The exterior of the new Porsche 911 GTS has been redesigned for a more modern and powerful presence. It features new Matrix LED headlights with a refreshed design, a sculpted front bumper with sharper, more dynamic lines, and a rear end enhanced with bolder contours. A newly styled light strip with an integrated ‘PORSCHE’ logo adds a refined touch, while also emphasizing the car’s width and assertive stance. The Carrera GTS variant also comes equipped with a model-specific sports exhaust system, delivering an even more exhilarating engine sound that heightens the emotional driving experience.
Inside the cabin, Porsche has reimagined the interior of the new 911 GTS, embracing a fully digital experience. The traditional ignition key has been replaced with a push-start button, and the driver now benefits from a customizable 12.6-inch fully digital instrument cluster, offering flexible display configurations to suit individual preferences. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system has been upgraded to offer full integration with Apple CarPlay®, allowing drivers to seamlessly access and control various vehicle functions directly from their Apple devices. The additional enhancements include a wireless smartphone charging pad, modernized driver assistance systems, and an in-car video streaming feature, delivering a more connected and immersive driving experience.
The New 911 GTS T-Hybrid is now officially open for orders in Thailand, available in all body styles — Coupé, Cabriolet, and Targa — with a choice of rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. All variants come equipped with the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) intelligent automatic transmission as standard. The price of the 911 Carrera GTS variant starts at THB 17.4 million.
