Mr. Noriaki Yamashita, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., along with the senior management team, officially opened the Toyota booth at The 46th Bangkok International Motor Show 2025 under the theme “MOVE YOUR WORLD, MOVE ALL OPPORTUNITIES.” The booth showcases a wide range of Toyota vehicles, covering every lineup to cater to all lifestyles. Last year, the total car sales in the Thai market were 573,000 units, a 26% decrease compared to 2023. However, Toyota achieved success with a market share of 38.5%, the highest in the past 13 years. Currently, the Thai automotive industry is facing a transformation, particularly with the rising popularity of electric vehicles. Last year, the sales of electric vehicles (xEV) in Thailand totaled over 200,000 units, marking a 10% growth compared to 2023, and accounting for 35% of total car sales. This growth was driven by the 29% increase in sales of HEVs, while BEV sales decreased by 8%, indicating the acceptance of Thai customers who prefer hybrid vehicles due to their practicality in real-world use. Importantly, Toyota led the xEV and hybrid vehicle markets, reflecting strong confidence in Toyota’s hybrid vehicles, or “Trusted HEVs,” which remain one of our key strengths.

Reaffirming its position as the leader in hybrid vehicles with “TOYOTA NO.1 TRUSTED HEV,” Toyota is offering a special campaign across all hybrid models. Mr. Noriaki Yamashita introduced the hybrid vehicle zone, by saying “We would like to showcase a variety of HEV models to meet the diverse needs of customers, starting with the ALL-NEW CAMRY, the best-selling model in the Medium Size Sedan segment, and the COROLLA ALTIS.

For SUVs, you will find the YARIS CROSS, the best-selling HEV in this segment, and the COROLLA CROSS. In the MPV category, we are showcasing the INNOVA, as well as the luxurious ALPHARD / VELLFIRE minivans, ready to be delivered to our customers”
